Academic Center for Tutoring
The Academic Center for Tutoring (ACT) offers free services to help enrolled CSU students succeed in math, science, writing, and humanities. ACT tutoring methods facilitate students' ongoing development as independent learners, researchers, problem solvers, and writers, helping them build their confidence and skills as critical thinkers in their lower- and upper-division courses, in courses across the curriculum, and in other professional and academic situations. The Turner College of Business offers a tutoring lab which is available to all students currently enrolled in ACCT 2101, ACCT 2102, BUSA 3115, ECON 2105, ECON 2106, FINC 3105, FINC 3115, and MISM 2115. Computer Science Lab
The TSYS Department of Computer Science offers lab assistants to help with all of your Computer Science needs. They offer help with JAVA, MS Office/Access, HTML, etc. The Computer Science Lab is located in the Center for Commerce and Technology (CCT), Room 450. The Language Learning Center
Administered by the Department of Modern & Classical Languages, the Language Learning Center is open to all, and available by reservation for groups and departments that share an interest in learning about other cultures. The LLC is a full-service facility with 25 computer workstations and interactive multimedia resources like Skype, CAN-8 (voice recording software), SCOLA (TV programs and real-time videos from more than 100 countries in many languages); smart board,webcams, and more. The following services and capabilities are available to anyone wanting to work on their language skills: Listening/recording and video viewing stations, Foreign language software and learning programs, Video library, Access to world wide news broadcasts, Internet access, and E-mail access. Hours total 38 per week, but vary by semester; you can find them posted on the door, on the MLC website, or by calling 706-565-4068 or 706-507-8450.
